This procedure is for MEP 14 Plus but may also work for earlier versions.

These settings represent a good balance of quality verses file size/upload time (of course, after Youtube encoding they will play nicely when people view them on Youtube - the bigger the file you give Youtube the better the quality that comes out of Youtube, not a large file).

• Import your video to the MEP timeline or open your movie.
• Export your movie to WMV: File>Export Movie>Windows Media Export
• Click Advanced and set up your export as follows:

Note: the approximate file size can be seen on the main export window at the bottom of the Format Description box: scroll down to see the "Size Estimate". I have found that it overestimates the size by about 10%:

• Click OK to get back to the Export screen.

If you wish, you can save the export settings for later use by clicking the floppy disk icon at the top of the Export screen.

• Set up the file name and other options on the export screen then export away.
• Upload manually to Youtube.

I think you'll agree that the quality from MEP 15 Plus is far better than MEP 14. If you are heavily into this sort of thing, I'd suggest you consider an upgrade to MEP 15 or later.
